The musician has postponed a number of European gigs.

Bruce Springsteen has thanked his Irish fans for a “deeply memorable” set of gigs in the country this month.

The Boston rocker performed in Kilkenny, Cork, Dublin and Belfast during his stint in Ireland.

Following his Irish gigs, the 74-year-old had to postpone several upcoming shows, citing  ‘vocal issues’.

In a video on social media, the Boss said: “I’d like to thank Irish fans, our British fans, and our fans in Wales for giving us a series of shows that were deeply memorable, and we just had a great time.”

In the video posted by Aiken Promotions, the organisers of Springsteen’s Irish gigs, the musician said, “I’m in Marseille. Unfortunately, I could not sing for you, but we will be back, to Marseille, to Prague and to Milan to give you the show of your life that I promised you.”

Aiken had previously apologised and accepted responsibility for the queuing disorder outside of Springsteen’s Croke Park concert earlier this month.

A large proportion of ticketholders missed the start of The Boss’ set after chaos led to a massive queue attempting to get into the stadium.

The show was even delayed by about 15 minutes as the sold-out 80,000 crowd struggled to get in on time.

Despite the initial chaos outside Croker, Springsteen managed to salvage the night with an incredible three hour-plus show packed with hits.

Following his voice issues, it has now been confirmed that his next concert won’t be until June 12 in Madrid.

A spokesperson for the singer said: ‘Bruce is recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.’
